Founder Pritam Bhattacharyya has been essentially a wordsmith – a worker with words – although he has worked successively as a network engineer, global IP-network Manager, submarine cable layer and Dy. General Manager of one of the largest telecom providers of the world.

In 2006, he founded Wordsmith Communication which grew to cover almost all languages of the world with the mission statement: best cost/quality ratio in services and to become the most-loved company among freelancers. For last seven years, Pritam has worked as a digital publisher and print-on-demand provider at Pentasect Online and he has been active as an author and teacher in freelancer space.

He holds his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Masters in Communication Management from Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow, UK as a British Chevening Scholar.

Having worked over 21 years as an employee for various corporations like ANZ Bank, Oppenhoff & Rädler (Lawyers), KPMG, and as a project assistant for AT&T and Lufthansa Systems, I started to work as a part-time freelancer in 2008. In 2011, I founded my own company to work as a freelance translator and to enjoy a diversified working life.

Being an employee turned freelancer and eventually a business-owner, I have gone through the exciting but difficult path and always felt and valued to connect with the living experience of someone who had traveled the path.

Marta Stelmaszak

Marta Stelmaszak is a Polish – English translator and interpreter working in IT and business. She is currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems and Management. Matteo Preabianca

Matteo is located in Mexico City and has a solid background in translating from English, French, Chinese, Spanish into Italian.

Swami Kritarthananda

Swami Kritarthananda has been living a life in the renounced order of life as a monk (saanyasi) for the past 38 years in the holy Ramakrishna Mission. He has thereby gained extensive experience in the science and art of Service of God in Man—a concept formulated by Swami Vivekananda. Swami has also an in-depth knowledge of Vedic scriptures in Sanskrit. Led by an inner urge, he has taught himself Sanskrit as a labour of love and he is currently working on a book which will be of great help for any research scholar on the primary scriptures of Hinduism (called prasthāna-traya).

Natasa Budisin

My name is Natasha and I hold an University degree in languages (Italian and English) and two master degrees from two different State Universities of Rome, Italy (Tor Vergata and Sapienza). I have been teaching both online and offline from 2009, and I had more than 400 online session so far, with more than 40 regular students. I love teaching Italian and with me, you will have a plenty of fun, but you will also learn Italian. My method is highly communicational.

Iñaki Marro

Iñaki Marro was born in Barcelona in 1987 and moved to Madrid in 2010. Having Spain-Spanish and Catalan as mother tongues, he is a passionate about languages. He knows eleven languages and belongs to the rare species of polyglot. Don’t be surprised if you find Iñaki saluting you in 10 languages and able to run conversation.

At the University he studied a double (simultaneous) Licentiate Degree in Translation and Interpretation (from German and English into Spanish and Catalan) and in Linguistics and Technological Applications. The academic syllabus included specific subjects on language teaching, in which he learned the communicative approach as well as the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

He has authored a book in Catalan on Language Teaching. He is also doing his Masters in Philosophy and Theology

Iñaki Marro is meanwhile a free-lance translator and interpreter since 2007 from English and German into Spain Spanish and Catalan.

He offers language courses on his mother tongues (Spain Spanish and Catalan) at all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc., for all competences (reading, writing, speaking) and purposes (travelling, studies, business…).

Nahed Hashem

Nahed Hashem is teaching English for last eight years.

She holds her Master’s in English literature from Damascus University and had taught in the same University between 2004-2006, Syria and also taught in Ministry of Education, Kuwait.

A native Arabic speaker and is a sworn translator for Ministry of Justice, Syria.

She is based in Syria.

I have also studied psychology and sociology.

Gobinda Roy

I started freelancing as a web designer and programmer 14 years ago, when I was still in elementary school, but my interest in languages used by computers and people alike started even earlier. Over the years I took on more jobs associated with human language, such as tutoring, interpretation and finally translation which now makes up most of my business.

Presently I am attending Psychology at the Masaryk’s university in Brno, Czech Republic. The teachers told us right at the beginning that it is very nice to be a psychologist, but alone it isn’t enough. For some strange reason, I’ve heard the same from a colleague translator about translation school.

I believe that each person has his/her individual path that can be hardly framed inside one school and I think diversification, as can be seen here at Wordsmith University, is a suitable stop on every path.

Arindam Chatterjee

People call him by his initials AKB in the industry where he has spent over 26 years of which 17 years in education and IT sector combined and the rest in governance consulting. Hands on experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, Fund Management, Accounts, Costing, Auditing, Budgeting, and MIS Development. Have expertise in analyzing existing systems and procedures, preparing business continuity plans, designing internal control systems and facilitate effective decision-making.

He has been working as an empanelled Procurement Consultant and Trainer of World Bank since 2013 -Serving as visiting professor of Jadavpur University in the department of Environment and Development from 2010. Serving as a faculty member of ICAI- erstwhile ICWAI since 2013. He is also serving as a “Trainer in the skill development programme of NSDC(National Skill Development Corporation of India ) in the trade of Banking, Finance and Insurance.
